WEDNESDAYS 10:00-11:00am

Linda Castronovo (she/her)

I discovered yoga in a 1979 Runner's World article while training for cross country. I followed the directions and tried all the postures because the author promised improved strength, flexibility, and injury prevention. It was just a handful of postures: warrior, triangle, cobra, downward dog, and child pose, but I felt different immediately. I felt calmer, more present, more awake and alive.

In the years that followed I attended many different classes and was certified as a Kripalu Yoga Instructor in 1990. I continue to study many forms of yoga and learn from all of my teachers. As I approach sixty, my classes are now moving meditations that build awareness through breath and body. I teach an eclectic mix of many traditions, but my aim is to guide you to your own deep well of gratitude, compassion, self-acceptance.

THURSDAYS (Saturdays starting Sep.) 10:00-11:00am

Steph Gerolimatos (she/her)

I'm an artist and yogin who loves sharing both practices with others. I began my inquiry into yoga in 2005 and was awed by its profound impact—it was as if I'd been falling for years and then suddenly, after asana, I felt ground under my feet and air in my lungs. There was equilibrium and a feeling of wanting to be exactly where I was. I continue to study yoga as a key aspect of caring for my mental and physical health and a path to create positive change. I'm happy to be able to share this amazing, ancient tradition.

I hope to provide a comfortable atmosphere where you can explore movement, breath work, and stillness without judgement. Sessions provide opportunities to focus, get playful and creative, choose your own challenges, and rest. Bits of yoga philosophy are sprinkled throughout to connect with the core of human values where we find compassion, love, and joy. Anyone with a desire to practice is welcome. Move at your own pace, decide for yourself what offerings to accept and what to skip. Prioritize taking care of yourself.

She takes a trauma-informed approach to yoga that aims to bring students into their bodies where they can make the decisions that are right for them in each moment, and hopes that students will leave class feeling celebrated and empowered to take their practice off the mat in ways that support their individual needs, lives, and work in the world. Kim is a registered yoga teacher (200 RYT) with a BA in Psychology and additional training in Yoga Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, PTSD and Yoga Nidra for Mental Health.

SATURDAYS 8:00-9:00am

McKenzie Umrysz (she/her)

McKenzie is a yoga teacher, and works for a Mental Health Clinic where she runs trainings, facilitates groups, and helps support first time young parents in their journeys. In her spare time she enjoys teaching TESOL classes to individuals, and being outside any chance she can get; hiking, rock climbing, gardening, going for walks by the water, or reading in the sun. She is passionate about her work with, and connecting to individuals and facilitating a supportive, open, and explorative learning experience for those who attend her classes. McKenzie weaves in themes about everyday life, poems, and nuggets of learning into her classes to make connections between our yoga practice and the life lessons (big or small) that come up. She believes in creating a space where people can come to move their bodies, listen to what their bodies are telling them, and grow from those experiences in a safe place. McKenzie does this by using intentional language, offering various options for poses, with a creative spin on movements that build off of one another to create a cohesive practice. She looks forward to meeting and connecting with you soon!
